Dennis Carlson has extensive experience in all phases of architecture and construction. Before starting his own architectural firm, he served as project architect for several major architectural firms in Colorado and Iowa and has had partial responsibility for a variety of commercial, residential, and institutional projects ranging in size from $20,000 to $20 million. He started his own firm in Wyoming in 1977 and relocated to Colorado in 1982. Since starting his own firm, he has had total responsibility for a variety of projects including small $10,000 ADA modification projects to the new $6.5 million facility for The Times in Munster, Indiana (Chicago area).

Dennis Carlson is a licensed architect in the states of Colorado, California, Indiana, Iowa, Maryland and Wyoming and is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (this allows him to become licensed in all other states without taking further exams). He received a Bachelor of Architecture Degree from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa in 1972; and while there, he won several design awards and participated in a foreign study program in Darmstaadt, Germany.
Mr. Carlson takes pride in his ability to work effectively with clients. Communicating with and listening to his clients are
of utmost importance. He is
able to translate his clients needs to very functional floor plans yet being sensitive to
both good design and budget constraints.
